Sarah MCGowan, D.D.S.

Dr. McGowan received her dental degree from the University of Iowa in 2019. Afterwards, she completed two years of general practice residency at Hennepin County Medical Center. She completed oral and maxillofacial surgery training at the University of Minnesota in 2025. Prior to her professional training, Dr. McGowan received a Bachelor’s of Science in chemistry at Edgewood College in Madison, WI.

Dr. McGowan was called to oral and maxillofacial surgery during her time at Hennepin County Medical center while taking care of facial trauma patients. She continues to have a strong interest in maxillofacial trauma, and her other interests include orthognathic surgery, anesthesia, and benign pathology. Dr. McGowan participated in research regarding hyperbaric oxygen therapy for odontogenic infections and acellular fish skin grafts for oral wounds. She also enjoys teaching others and participates in continuing education events for other oral health care providers.

When not in the office, Dr. McGowan can be found outside enjoying time with her husband and her dog, or watching some live music at one of the many venues that the Twin Cities has to offer.
