Important Information Regarding Blue Cross Blue Shield Network Changes
You may have received a letter from Blue Cross Blue Shield informing you that Oral & Maxillofacial Surgical Consultants, P.A.’s status as a Blue Cross Blue Shield in-network provider would be changing to out-of-network. This letter is not accurate.
We are happy to inform you that our status as an in-network provider for Blue Cross Blue Shield will continue in 2017.
Effective January 14, 2017, we have confirmed our status as an in-network provider. This may take some time to update in Blue Cross Blue Shield’s system, but we have been assured claims will eventually process in-network.
The letter that Blue Cross Blue Shield sent to patients indicated Oral & Maxillofacial Surgical Consultants would be considered out-of-network as of January 1, 2016. Blue Cross Blue Shield has confirmed that this was a typo on their part; we have been assured claims from 2016 will not be affected. If you have medical benefits for a procedure planned in 2017, you may want to schedule after mid-January to ensure your claims are processed in-network by Blue Cross Blue Shield.
